- Basic Terminology & Pricing Components:
- Point-to-Point (2 sites in VideoConference)
Point-to-Point rates are a combination of charges for:
-Room usage.
-Long Distance Transmission between two sites.
-Administration Fee per event
-Taxes.
Multi-Point (more than 2 sites in VideoConference)
Multi-Point rates are a combination of charges for:
-Room usage.
-Long Distance Transmission between each site and the Multi-Point
Control Unit (MCU).
-MCU charge per site.
-Administration Fee per event
-Taxes.
Public-to-Public
Public-to-Public VideoConferences utilize public rooms at all
sites and therefore will generate room use charges for each site.
Private-to-Public
Private-to-Public VideoConferences utilize public rooms at only
some sites and therefore will not be charged for room usage at
every site. If a private site is originating a VideoConference
to a public room, the transmission charges would depend on bandwidth
capability and network connectivity for each site.

- Charges For Room Usage

- Room charges during normal business hours are $250-$350/hour in
the USA and $275-$650/hour for international sites.

- Charges For Room Usage Outside of Normal Business Hours

- Two hours before and four hours after Normal Business Hours is
charged at one and a half times the normal rate. All other times
are charged at double the normal rate.

- Charges For USA Domestic Transmission

- Transmission varies according to bandwidth and carrier transmission
tariffs, which change regularly. The USA domestic coast-to-coast
rate is approximately $30/hour for 112/128 Kbps. and $90/hour
for 336/384 Kbps. Calls to Hawaii and Puerto Rico are slightly
more. Connexus will provide a written quotation prior to each
VideoConference event.

- Charges For Transmission From the USA to Other Countries

- Transmission varies according to bandwidth and carrier transmission
tariffs, which change regularly. Rates are different for most
countries and thus Connexus will provide a written quotation prior
to each VideoConference event.

- Administration Fee
-
- The administration Fee is $50 per USA domestic point-to-point
conference and $75 per international point-to-point conference.
$25 is added for each additional domestic site and $50 for each
additional international site.

- Multi-Point Bridging Charges
-
- The Multi-Point bridging charge for USA domestic bridges is $45/hour
for each USA or international site. Charges for MCU bridges located
in other countries are higher. Connexus will provide specific
costs prior to each event.

- Cancellation Fees
-
- Cancellation Fees are charged on a reducing scale depending how
close the cancellation is to conference time.
- USA Rooms: If the cancellation is less than 24 hours prior to
conference time, 100% of the Room Rental plus the Administrative
Fee is chargeable. If more than 24 hours and less than 48 hours,
50% of the Room Rental plus the Administrative Fee is chargeable.
If more than 48 hours only the Administrative Fee is chargeable.
Multipoint: If the cancellation is less than 48 hours prior to
conference time, 100% of the MCU Fee plus the Administrative Fee
is chargeable. If more than 48 hours but less than 72 hours, 50%
of the MCU Fee plus the Administration Fee is chargeable. If more
than 72 hours only the Administrative Fee is chargeable.
International Rooms: If the cancellation is less than 48 hours
prior to conference time, 100% of the Room Rental plus the Administrative
Fee is chargeable. If more than 48 hours and less than 72 hours,
50% of the regular rate per Room plus the Administrative Fee is
chargeable. If more than 72 hours only the Administrative Fee
is chargeable
All hours used to calculate Cancellation Fees are normal business
hours.

- Payment Terms

- Payment may be made by major credit card or check prior to the
scheduled conference.

- Room Coordinator Charges
-
- Room Coordinator assistance is included in the basic pricing unless
an operator is required to be present for the full conference,
in which case special arrangements may be made.

- VideoConference Price Quotation

- A detailed written quotation will be provided for approval prior
to each VideoConference.

- Room Set-Up Charges

- A 30 minute set-up time is provided at no charge at the commencement
of each VideoConference. There is no break-down charge.

- Peripheral Device Usage Charge
-
- With the exception of scan converters, there is normally no charge
for the use of peripheral devices. However, VCR tapes will be
charged for if not supplied by the customer.
